WHAT ARE THE PICK-UP TIMES FOR YOUR VEHICLES?
We prefer all pickup and delivery times remain during our business hours 9am-7pm. We try to be as flexible as we can be in hopes to fit into your schedule, however if we have other pick ups and/or drop offs in the same day we will need to try to work around everyone's schedules. If we have multiple reservations to coordinate, typically pickup is 3pm and drop off is 10am. If these times do not work for you, please make sure to speak with us about your specific needs.
ARE THERE ANY EXTRA FEES?
We have multiple fees in order to make custom quotes to fit each rental request (i.e. trip planning, towing and camper lessons, dumping, flushing, optional add-ons to enhance your trip, etc). Each campsite is different, and road trips have special requirements, which makes the fees needed for quotes unique per individual scenarios. We try to save our guests as much as we can by offering custom quotes.
HOW LONG IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK A VEHICLE?
We need 48 hours for a delivery, and typically will need a little longer than that for a towable rental due to the time that it takes to work through insurance requirements. However, we do not advise waiting to book the campsite you want or the camper you prefer. Our calendar starts filling in around 6 months out typically and continues to fill in the few months prior. Popular campgrounds often are often booked solid 6-11 months out. We do offer a trip planning service for $39 an hour if you are not able to find a site, or just want help planning your trip.
DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM NIGHT REQUIREMENT FOR RENTALS?
Yes. For deliveries, we prefer a 3-night minimum, and 4 nights for our towable rentals. We will consider 2-night rentals with an additional prep fee.
DO YOU HAVE A CANCELLATION POLICY OR SECURITY DEPOSIT REQUIREMENT?
Our guests are entitled to a full refund for all cancellations made at least 60 days prior to the rental start date, minus a 15% fee. Our guests are entitled to a 50% refund for all cancellations made at least 30 days prior to the rental start date. Less than 30 days prior to the rental start date, the booking is non-refundable. WE OFFER TRIP PROTECTION FOR 6.5% OF YOUR RESERVATION TOTAL. IF YOU ARE CAMPING IN A HURRICANE PRONE AREA PLEASE DO NOT SKIP THE TRIP INSURANCE JUNE-NOVEMBER. This is the best option to protect your investment in the event you need to cancel.
Our security deposit is $650-$1000 for our travel trailers, and $1500 minumum for our Class C. Our deposits are determined by the deductible for our commercial insurance policy, or the level of insurance you choose. The deposit is 100% refundable and is returned within 3 business days upon the return of our campers clean and damage free.
IF I HAVE NEVER TOWED A TRAVEL TRAILER OR DRIVEN A RV, AM I SAFE TO MOVE FORWARD WITH A RENTAL? IF I DECIDE I AM NOT COMFORTABLE DRIVING, DO YOU OFFER DELIVERY?
We understand towing a trailer or driving a RV can be intimidating for anyone that lacks experience. We give extensive towing and driving lessons, as well as detailed camper function lessons on each unit. We also send you out with pointers on how to remain safe on the road and also while at your campsite. We want you to feel as confident as possible when you get out on the road for your adventure. If you still decide that you do not want to tow or drive, we can deliver and setup your preferred unit.
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO RENT A UNIT?
25 years or older.
ARE YOUR CAMPERS PET FRIENDLY?
Yes. We allow up to two pets with prior approval. We do have a single pet cleaning fee of $60, and $100 for two.
DOES COASTAL CAMPER RENTALS CARRY COMMERCIAL INSURANCE?
Yes, we have a commercial insurance policy for all of our units. For deliveries, there is no costs for our guests. However, if you are towing, unless your own personal insurance policy extends liability insurance to the trailer while towing with your personal tow vehicle, then you will have to purchase the liability coverage through our commercial insurance company. We also offer roadside assistance for $9 a day.
IF I CHOOSE TO RENT THE CLASS C, WHERE CAN I LEAVE MY CAR?
We have space at our home, or at a fenced in storage facility. We will need your keys just in case we need to move your car while you are out on your adventure.
WHAT COMES STOCKED IN YOUR UNITS?
We stock the inside of our campers with a fully stocked kitchen, including pots/pans, cooking utensils/cutlery, mixing bowls/measuring tools, roasting sticks, plates, bowls, coffee mugs, coffee maker, coffee, sweetener, spices, dish and hand soap, cleaning supplies, broom/dustpan, hand towels, paper towels, paper plates, and RV friendly toilet paper. There is a TV, with access to a Firestick and Amazon Prime account. For the outside, you have access to our outdoor rug, 2 gravity chairs, and great outdoor lights. Optional add-ons: outdoor propane grill (1 1lb propane tank) $30, netted enclosure (good for picnic area) $25, bundle of firewood $9, and inflatable SUPs/Kayaks $25 daily or discounted per the length of your trip.
DO YOU HELP WITH SPECIAL OCCASION CELEBRATIONS?
Yes, and we do not charge for it. Please share with us if you are celebrating a special occasion. We would love the opportunity to throw in something special to add a unique surprise to your adventure.
DO YOU ALLOW SMOKING OR VAPING?
No. We prefer you not smoke under the awning area either. This is to prevent burning camping chairs, the outdoor rug, and smoke from entering our unit if windows are open. If there are any signs of smoking in our units, you will forfeit $500 of your security deposit. We thank you for kindly considering not smoking in or near our units.
